Your link didnt work. Fixed Always wondered how it broke out there. Saw it on a small day once when getting a private tour out there and looked like there was potential. Guess those that hit Playalinda Saturday scored. Almost went there...damn. Oh well.

I worked on the Cape for a few years as a contractor back 20 years now I think. I was more into Wave Sailing than surfing at the time and never tried to go in the water. I always thought it was off limits at all times.

Anybody who has a badge can drive up to the beach and take those photos. Its not hush hush and the photographer didn't break any laws. Funny how they keep the person a secret.

And that's not even the "real" wave.

While I'm sure some places were definitely better than others, pretty sure EVERYWHERE was good on saturday

It has it's moments. I've surfed the base. It's like pland but no one out.

Back in October(?) during the first big swell we got after the flatness couple of guys showed up with a Jet ski and were towing into waves near Launch Complex 37, security said as long as they didn't come ashore they weren't breaking any laws...

It rarely looks worth paddling out at the Cape, not sure why but it doesn't work as well as our imagination would lead us to believe, you're not missing a thing...

Some serious shoals out there to break up swell energy

Yep, I've seen it breaking next to buoy 4 and that is 6 or so miles out.

The SE Shoal is where I surfed in '66 and again in'67. Not sure which buoy that would be. I think we had passed all the buoys on our way out there.
