Watched some yesterday, 4-6 (12 foot faces); really good size for that place, heavy drops, raging current, arm burn. Off topic, has anyone ever camped there at the park? We almost did as it is legal but it seemed sketchy and went to another campground...just curious, they have a huge space but I never see any tents (most likely for a reason). It is a prime location, minutes to all the spots, would make DP easy but my "spidey senses" went off and I did not feel comfortable there, safer option down the road.

Yep. that's the ideal wave size for most of the North SHore... unfortunately at Haleiwa it usually means its a zoo. I've only really surfed it 6-8, and was a bit too much of a rodeo for me.... non stop paddling on a 7-6 (did get a couple though) Your spidey senses are correct. I wouldnt reccomend "camping" there.... If you chose the park I'm thinking of fairly close by, you made a better choice.... and it has a wave that can get really good and uncrowded (has a limited size window though)

Never saw anyone camp there and Haleiwa was my home break. It can be a rough place to surf at times. I surfed it often but when it really turned on the locals got very local , guys that saw you in the line up all the time would start questioning you . The bigger it gets , the harder the current pulls you toward the peak. So you never stop paddling . It's backside for me , but still one of the most memorable places I surfed while I was living there .

Sunset starts Sunday the 25th and looks to have at least 5-6 days of solid long period NW swell and even some over sized days mixed in , it will take a man with stamina to win this leg.
