Thinking about a trip in December. Anyone ever take the Spirit flight into Aguadilla out of Orlando? Gets in at 3am. How was dealing with getting to your place/getting a rental car with the odd hours of arrivals? Any tips? Decent areas to stay with access to surf?

unfortunately both the spirit and the jet blue flights are in the middle of the night. not a huge deal as everything is open at the airport (rental cars, cabs, etc). most hotels around the area are able to deal with these two early morning flights but you will be paying for the whole night both coming and going. plenty of places to stay - hotels, vrbo, airbnb. lots of surf all around that NW corner - jobsos, shacks, surfer's beach, wilderness, aquadilla, rincon, etc. wind can be the big problem as sometimes it just blows, and blows, and blows. look for a big cold front off the NE US as that is their main wave generator in the winter. super easy trip except for the red eye flights! have fun!

We have a group going mid Feb , best to book early on VRBO if you have a bigger group of friends .

The (BQN) airport is very busy between 11pm-4am, rented a house through VRBO, great location between Surfers Beach & Wildo's and only minutes from the airport.
Went down 2 weeks ago, surf was pumping- head+ to DOH and glassy everyday all day long. Heading back again a couple more times this season ------------------------- The Wavecaster Edited: 10/22/2018 at 06:06 PM by Tiptime |
