As a summary to ww post( pic too big cant reply on monile) we are pretty fucked. Little to no gas left( plenty of diesel) very few tanker trucks in town to deliver the gas. Lines for gas up to mile long. Some people were camped at pumps hoping a tanker shows up or the station gets power back. Waited 3+hrs yesterday for gas. Praying for power this week sometime this week. food running low in stores that are open. Power very sporadic. Flooding in places that didnt flood in floyd. Didnt help we had 33" of rain the last week of july. No way in or out of wilmington. 17 washed out and flood. 74/76 flooded in many sections. I40 under water in several areas and washed out in others. Was at figure8 yesterday it was not too bad. Seen it a lot worse. Topsail/surf city beach pretty bad. Wrightsville no report yet as friends just got on yesterday, headed to house in carolina beach today. River cresting today and tom, that should add to shitshow. National guard starting food and water drops. We were actually lucky here though, eye was over us for 10ish hours thurs, had we been n it would be a lot worse, and we would look like atlantic beach/morehead city, and new bern where they took it all. Going to get worse before better i am afraid.

Hang in there. Hoping the water drops and you get power back quickly. I've had power out for up to a week in our past storms. it sucks.

Thanks for the real report. Video of I-40 in Pender County turned into a river all the way to the horizon was scary. No wonder the whole thing is shut.

US 421 is open, but officials are urging people not to return to Wilmington.

Interstates were built with the notion of being "national defense" highways so there were certain standards about bridge clearances, sturdiness...someone seems to have left out building the roads high enough to not easily be flooded.
