Illawarra Mercury newspaper. Nice photos. Off Wollongong, south of Sydney. It was a white shark. They have a botanic garden with a nice palm collection. Same latitude as Wilmington, N.C. They fairly recently stocked it with a colllection of mature palms from near Brisbane, same latitude as Vero Beach. They're having really nasty wildfires. Hundreds of people rescued. |

The pictures had me wetsuit deficating. How can people freedive in a region known for great whites and then jump in with a bunch of seals. Darwin Award imo |

We just get stitches and tendon repairs, mostly. |

With their boat 30 metres away, having dropped anchor, they scrambled onto nearer rocks to make the quickest possible exit from the water. “We copped a real beating on the rocks but were out of the water within a minute,” he said.
