Tom Neilson here and just thought I better let everyone know that I am back shaping again after having rotator cuff surgery back in October. My doctor even said that I can start surfing again two weeks ago, which was great news to me since I planned on being out of the water til March! On other news I am moving my shaping room from the Town and Country factory in Rockledge to Indian Harbour Beach on tomahawk lane. I am taking over the shaping room of longtime master shaper Steve Forestall who has retired and gone into Real Estate with his wife. Steve has been super cool and made it all happen super easy for me. I do need orders so if you are thinking about a custom surfboard please put me at the top of your short list and let me make your next amazing new surfboard! hand shaped in not only the USA but right here in Brevard County! Thanks! Tom Neilson @ tomneilsonshapes.com tomtubeneilson@gmail.com 321-508-5055

Great to hear, Tom! Keep doing what you do. You're an asset to the East Coast surf community for sure!

Congratulations on the quick rotator cuff recovery.  I actually got in reasonably good shape by walking to things like physical therapy sessions.

Good to hear that. Would you mind sharing what surgeon you used and did you have a complete or partial tear. In the same boat and need to get it fixed!

...and Tomtube was back in the cold windy water again too

Tom was " riding a 9'5" "pig" type shape called the "Cob Roller" (model).
Such a forgiving and fun longboard to ride

I hear the shoulder stuff is a hard recovery. Glad you are back early.
