Inconsistent sets producing overhead chunky surf. We'd get a few fun ones and then sit for 5 minutes. Kinda like surfing a mogul run once up. Definitely worth a paddle out just for the drops and some held up surprisingly well. Main swell just reached the 20 about an hour ago so it should get bigger fast late morning. Go surf.

Thanks. Got early DP texts saying windy and crappy. Yeah for new swell.

Also, check those long range models for next weekend. Keep the shutters up for another week (just in case) and don't make any plans for next weekend!

Yup, my father-in-law just texted me earlier today and asked if I could take the rest of there shutters down.  After seeing the GFS, Euro, and Canadian models this morning for the 25th I said "Ehhhhhh, I think we should leave em up!"

Surprisingly fun. Caught the bombs from the outside
and if you caught the second or third one it was a lot cleaner
than the first one because the first one cleaned up the water.
Long paddle out but relatively easy, just long.
I don't think I need anything bigger though.
If it's bigger I'll end up at the pier ??

two sessions in and there are definitely some hunky, chunky sets rolling through.  I was very impressed with the power of the Paradise shorepound at dawn this morning.
