LBI NJ was the Cam of the Moment on Surfline all afternoon Tuesday and OMG was it a barrel fest. I couldn't stop watching but not only because it was like watching a pro contest in HEAVY conditions but because it looked FREEZING and I'm not sure I could have gotten in that water. Those Jersey boys are tough!

Surfed LBI a good bit back in the 80s. They really bring the juice up there.  That was just epic. Much respect that crew. 

It's so hard to paddle and surf in 5/4 suits, gloves and booties.

Yeah!! It was Fing FREEZING!  I  was just up there, not surfing just some work... my wife and I stayed in long island about 15 miles west of Manhattan and the storm when right over us crazy like hurricane with winds but then you try to go outside in the morning and not just freezing but everything's solid ice car buried : (  I dunno how people paddled out that's just wild and all I can say is thank God I live in Florida on nice warm beach : ))

Those are the heaviest barrels of the year. Finding your feet on a double overhead bomb in 38 degree water to get lost in a hollow tube so deep I actually felt the suspense. Insane. We have yet to receive our swell of the year.
