Just offering up a lil reminder here that it's nearing HS Senior Graduation time already, and that there are several surf sponsored college scholarships available.

Here's link to info on the one I fund .. for Cocoa Beach HS graduates.

Freeman Surfing Scholarship

Applicants don't have to be a champion surfer or an honor student.
Criteria is for anyone who surfs and who may be making just average grades and could use some help with college expenses.

I do not make the final selection. The Brevard Schools Foundation makes that determination.

Check with CBHS counselors for application details.

Right on... what a thoughtful and productive way to give back to the local surfing community.

How long have you been doing this scholarship and how many applicants do you average each year?

This will be my 4th year.
Not sure how many applicants each year... I don't see them.
But, kinda curious myself.

That is so awesome Bob.  You rock man.  I remember talking to Mama G years back about needing more opportunities for local surfers.  We've talked about doing scholarships at my alumni gatherings.  You have just pushed my desire to restart those talks right back to the top.
