Anybody seen this and have any inside scoop?
Evolved surfboards ad on Craigslist

Made me think of the "factory shutdown run off with the $$" scam couple years ago, except they have been around and have mixed reviews.

i was curious and checked out their website..all i can say is that is a VERY VERY cheap price for boards and
personally i do not see how they can run a business and sell for such reduced prices unless they are getting
free blanks, free shapes , free laminations and free rent on a warehouse... the numbers just dont add up.
-also biggest name drop of keywords on craigslist ad i ever saw!

Damn some of those boards look kinda sick though! I especially like the mini mal looking ones. But $300 brand spanking new? Does sound super MEGA suspect I'd say! SOMEBODY BUY ONE AND REPORT BACK! lol

The best part is the advertisement is trying to sell boards for cheaper than typical wholesale cost yet says they will be in town trying to sell to shops. Shops love nothing more than boards going back door for less than their cost.

In this case it sounds like the boards will be available on the spot to see, so if you are a good judge of boards and like it can't see how you can get ripped off.

I have seen a couple of their boards. They have been selling in So Califorinia on craigslist for afew years.  They are what they are. an inexpensive board. machine cut. MY guess is that they are made in Mexico. There are a couple of big glassing operations close to the US Boarder. I'm sure they now have cutting machines down there as well.  Much cheaper shipping cost and wait time then having boards made in China.  If you need an inexpensive board they might be OK.

Update:
I've been emailing back and forth with a rep who has yet to state his name. Answered all my questions in fairly timely manner. Someone was supposed to follow up with a phone call this weekend, but that did not happen.

The sales model reminds me of spirit airlines. Everything is an up sale. But what is not these days! (Hopefully dealing with them is better than my experiences with spirit airline ;-) But they can do numerous bells and whistles. He stated they use Square POS for invoice etc.

Will update again....

Update:
Communication with company still a little too thin for my liking. Left messages never got a return call back. Email has been the method of communication they use. Most recent was a feeler to upsale for future fins, board bags and leashes. Bounced some emails back and forth for pricing on board bag and fins. Decided on the Futures Ecinitas fins for decent price. Asked if I will get a new invoice with fins added etc 2 days ago and still no response. (They stated the showroom is open on weekends and that office work is performed over the weekend) Maybe out of town for the holiday?? IG posts still show they are headed here but hoping to hear when and where I am to pick up my order.

Things are limping along and the jury is still out....I'll let you know when I get the board in my hands.
