How hard to replace an existing glassed in single fin with a box?

The board is all volan too, if that matters.

I think you'd just need to router it out and set the new box in place. Trying to find the right person to do it might be more challenging. I

If you have the proper router it is a pretty straight forward process. "Volan" does not matter, it just denotes that the glass has a type of chromate finish on it for better adhesion with the resin.

Pay a pro. It's not very expensive and it will come out perfect.

It is easy to do but if you don't have the tools or at least some help from someone that has done a few Get a pro like larry to do it for you.  If you can watch then at least you will know the process.

The jig slipped the first time I ever tried it and oh boy!

I ended up doing a fabric overlay and it came out okay, but the initial shock from the missing swath of longboard nearly stroked me out.
