I've been there five times and have always had a great time, until last year. Last year was only "good" because the Brazilians showed up en masse a couple of days. I hear it has gotten worse and that they are being boated in every day. (Not sure why they need to boat in, but, that's the rumor.) I don't enjoy a big aggro scene, so, I am wondering if anybody has any recent experiences.

Place is filthy with them. Even 61 is getting mobbed. ------------------------- |

Went last year. Some brazos around and they do seem to flock to that break. We went twice for our second session after breakfast and almost had it to ourselves with very light winds both times. I like some of the other breaks more anyway. Here is one kinda in my way. I want a do over on that one... ------------------------- Ask me how to take almost free surf trips anywhere.

I went there last year when I was staying at mizata. one day mizata wasn't working so went to 59. It was crowded with brazos so went over to 61 and had a fun time. But now I generally just stick to mizata when I go to el sal.

Was there in late October 2016 thinking it may be less crowded than May through Sept. and it was overrun by people coming in from Zunzal. Everyday at 7:30 am, 2-3 SUV/VANs with 4-6 guys each showed up. Not to mention another 10-12 already on it staying there. Then throw in 5 or 6 aggressive locals and bingo, you're session is over. Wave only holds about 10 people. Time to move on to the next "undiscovered" spot. |
