Watch out for the goober on the gas powered board around 13th street.   I came down after work yesterday to escape the hard NW winds up our way, to rinse off the work day & fiberglass (with a few other nice people out there).   With a mile+ of empty beach to the north of the small courteous crowd that was patiently waiting for sets, there was no need to do continuous annoying circles around everyone and taking people's waves for 2 hrs just to show off.   I'm all for alternative fun equipment, but the guys ignorance will probably set off the wrong person.   If someone knows him, please talk to him.   Have a beautiful weekend everyone, respect & Aloha.

I was out there same time. I thought that asshole would run out of gas eventually but never did. Water had a gas smell and the fumes stunk. Really inconsiderate sob.

I have seen that guy out there before, probably a nice enough guy and didn't realize he was ticking people off.

Sure Dan, A great guy. Buy him a Jet Ski, so he can really be an ass, besides he does't know any better. Buy him a wet suit so he doesn't miss any days.

Nothing like a good ole passive aggressive thread to get your point across.
There are laws on how close to shore and people you can be on a motorized vessel.
If it has a motor then it probably has an FL number. Get it, and call marine patrol.
Let them take care of it. Then you don't have to make passive aggressive threads on the interwebs anymore. win/win.

Well people are out there with paddles because it is too much effort to surf, why not an engine because it is too much effort to paddle.

How oblivious can you be? When you are out ther the line up buzzing around with a jet board, you have to know that you are being a douche. Unless you have a 10 yr old's brain or something.

I have no problem with paddle boards in most situations, I fish from one and they are great for the wife and kids to use on the river. However, 95% of the people using them during a swell have no business doing so, let alone at the places they chose to use them. It really only takes getting hit once by an unguided missle from a kook falling off his paddle board to give you a general dislike of them. Really don't even have to take into consideration the ones that are decent on them and choose to be asses in the water.

I usually try to avoid coming close to the beach where people are fishing, swimming, and surfing on my ski out of respect ... But if you are cool with it, next swell I will be at your break after I am tired of surfing.

Miker, I'd love to have a session with you, not to be a tool or sarcastic jerk, just to meet you and make a new friend, I'll even buy the Acai bowls at Surfinista afterwards!

Life is way too short for aggro BS man.  I surf 11th street in CB all the time....just ask anyone out to point you to Dan.  All good bro.
