heres the big question:

More like year round wave.......I would rather surf a variety-and chance for bigger waves

Received this Email today from NLand. waiting.

Dear NLanders,

What a year it has been. Making history is never easy. But we are undaunted.

We continue to make repairs to the lagoon and we will not re-open this season. While this is disappointing for us all, we turn our focus to 2017 and the exciting plans we have in store. One hint: hops.

We are truly grateful to the NLand community. Your support and feedback means the world to us and believe me, your voices are heard.

We wish you a wonderful holiday season and look forward to welcoming you in 2017.

I don't think I'd move to Texas for the wave, and I see where you're coming from on the variety part, but all things considered I think I would take a consistent wave over the usual Cocoa Beach surf.

Half-pipes are still fun to skate even though they never change. It would be nice to know that I could get a quick session in after work, depending on my mood instead of the waves. That being said, I love our beaches for more than just surfing, and there are some things a wave park can never provide.
