It's definitely a glass half empty or half full situation. It's whatever you make out of it. I was burned, had to yield entire sets to others, confrontations and dodge people while riding but I also had my share of fun waves and satisfying turns 

It was not a "great everywhere" swell. But it was great some places...

Not at all.  Although - I have to admit...yesterday would have been the better day to give a surf lesson.

This was not the best wave but just one I took of a buddy at the end of our session yesterday. Head high glassy with lefts and rights but the rights were loooonnnggg.

I surfed a secret sandbar for Fri DP with just a few peeps.
But, I surfed amongst the crowds Sat and Sun only because that was the break I wanted to surf and didn't want to give up my spot.

There were plenty of un-crowded surf spots with all different kinds of surf rolling thru this weekend.

Simple tactic for me during weekend swells like this one at crowded surf spots... positioning and selection
