Paddle Air

I have finally come to grips with the fact that I'm not a kid anymore. Surfing tends to keep you young. ( at least mentally)

I really try to keep fit. And do for the most part.

But, in the last few years I have noticed a decline. Just kept getting harder to push off and jump up.

So I tried lots of stuff: Yoga ( still do) Advil, energy drinks, heavy stretching, longer thicker wider boards. Still just going down hill.

Until I got paddle air.

Really helps me get in full sessions. Stronger paddle, easier to pop up.

Yep means gray people will be in the line up longer.

Thanks for the review. Alas, i am in the same boat. Coincidentally, I was thinking about the Paddle Air this weekend. This might inspire me to get one.

I might get the female version so I can keep myself occupied on flat days.

Just joking, that's actually a pretty cool idea.

lol

Well truth be told there are some potential draw backs. If you blow it up as much as possible you will have man boobs.

Duck diving is somewhat problematic.

I'll take the drawbacks to get the wave count.

If nothing else you'll look like a surfer in a big wave contest.

The blow-up thing looks hokey to me, I don't quite get the point, but that padded Rib Rocket could save me some pain.

I don't undestand how this vest helps with you popping up. Did you add a leaf spring or something

Raises your chest up from the board. ( an inch or more depending on how much it is inflated )

Its like a balloon across your chest. Its kind of like a soft rubber ball bounce.

May not be for everyone. Sure as ship works for me. I'm talking about the one that inflates, not the rib pad.

I think there are some vids in the link. You can call the developers and they will explain also. Been around awhile. They have sold many of these. They continue to refine the design.

I bought mine after going to Old Man's and seeing some people with them and talking to them about it.

I bought one for a sore xyphoid about a year ago and has worked well for me.  Held up much better than expected also.
