As a longtime resident and well respected member of the surfing community, I have decided to reinstate myself as Chief Regulator of the SI lineup.

After a long lay off due to surgery on both knees, I have finally gotten back in the water and I'm disgusted by what I've seen. This new generation shows no respect for the lineup or their elders.

From here on out, these hooligans will be dealt with swiftly and effectively. This is your one warning, educate your kids and teach them proper values. I have 10ft 6'' of fiberglass at my disposal against anyone who tries to cut me off.

I have given a warning, my conscious is clear.

I dont blame you, esp based on some things ive seen recently. And Im pretty sure these kids (and adults) actions in the water are a reflection of their respect for the world out of the water.

Replace turf grass with native plants that don't need irrigation and synthetic fertilizers or chemicals that can go into our waterways and ocean

Everyone before 1967 or so...but I wouldn't expect you to know that, I've probably been surfing here longer than you have been alive.

Jeeze your are a dense bird, it means it doesn't matter how many years you have been kooking the lineup for! I will take my 20 quality years, and you can keep your 60 deplorable ones!

That is a shame you have been to court over surfing, you should learn to control your board, or if you are really that hopeless avoid crowds entirely. Do you go straight on every wave?

Instead of the ad hominem attacks you could try addressing the topic at hand, how about that?

Our lineups are being overrun by kooks and groms who show no respect to the lineup or the locals, and I for one will not stand for it.
