it aint over yet, you see the ridge in da gulf that's gonna bring it north fast, just how fast we don't know watch today, and when it hits the mountains in Haiti that's what will screw the perviable pooch. It has a chance to pull it off shore about Mami area and give us a swell, one of those 1 day wonder swells.

KONA!!!!!!!! Already put the bug in my bosses ear! Been sending him screen shots of predicted swell graphs. It is AWESOME to have a boss who at one point in life was heavily into surfing!

I dont know anything about weather but I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say she's gonna blow up in the gulf stream and ride the coast then bomb off NE FL and send us epic swell for a week.

Yup.

Just remember, something is better than nothing! I'm sure the surf will be fun on Saturday. Probably the biggest we have seen in a couple months. If this was Tavarua I'd be disappointed but since we are in late August in Central Florida I'll be happy with anything! Nice little E-SE swell showing on the Bahama buoys currently. that should fill in overnight for Saturday's 2-3 feet. Local winds, eh, who cares...go surf!

This is what buoyweather.com is calling for Saturday. If you can't find somewhere to surf with this then maybe you should move to Tavarua...LOL...

Saturday 8/29Morning ?
Light and variable winds with smooth seas. Small long period swell.
Winds: SE 5 to 7 knots.
Seas: E 3 feet at 12 seconds.

Afternoon ?
Light winds with a slight chop. Small long period swell.
Winds: ESE 9 to 12 knots.
Seas: E 3 feet at 11 seconds.

I'm not talking about this weekend. I'm talking about real storm swell juice.

Oh, sorry. yes, Ericka's current tracking sucks. Maybe it will change again. Personally I think the mountains of domincan Republic are going to make Erika dissipate to nothing like they usually do to weak storms.

But, just guessing like everyone else.

If you want the real juice of this one lake George has a funky little sandbar at the mouth of silver Glenn.

So long as the continental shelf exists and the Bahamas stand the suffering will go on and on and on and on in the state of FL.  Tickets to Central America are cheap, just picked up a round trip fare for $200 as a matter of fact, cures the flat faced FL blues every time

Even apart from the shelf & Bahamas, I don't think that I've ever seen OFFSHORES going on & on & on like they have this summer

Maybe I'm seeing things but at lunch I checked Sat Bch and saw a bunch of kids ripping waste high, well formed little peaks. LB would have been fun, too, but the kids were having a great time.

Hoping for some after work.

Maybe get a Pineda to 520 downwind run on the sup if the southeast wind is good and there is a break in the lightning.

Models are increasingly looking like a north florida stall and massive soaking is possible for east coast FL.

I'm seeing long period lines on the cams right now but it sure is choppy out there.

waist high waves coming in around lunch time in Mel Beach. Lots of fun on the LB since I haven't been out in awhile. Gotta take what you can get in FL.
