The 30th Annual NKF Rich Salick Pro-Am Surf Festival (September 4-7, 2015) is one of the LARGEST surfing charity competition in the world! It's held at The Cocoa Beach Pier, featuring Professional & Amateur Surfing Competitions, Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) & Tandem Competitions, Skateboard, Entertainment, Family Fun & Volunteering. ALL proceeds go to the NKF of Florida to support programs in patient services, research, public & professional education & organ donation. The festival also strives to increase awareness of kidney disease w/ an emphasis on prevention & support for organ donation. 1 in 3 American adults have chronic kidney disease & most don’t know it. Please bring any Silent Auction donations to this meeting. We are also still looking for baskets to use for the auction. Please come prepared to share updates if you are a committee chairperson. We will have a breakaway meeting for all surf competition judges with updates on competition rules. We will meet on the deck of Sunrise Bank in Cocoa Beach. Please use the stairs located on the east side of the building. $7500 Mens Pro ~ please help us get the word out! You can register online at NKFsurf.com/registration Online registration will be open and continue up until Thursday, September 3rd at 1:00 am. You are also welcome to come register in person at our "Registration Party" on Friday, September 4th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Keith's Oyster Bar on the Cocoa Beach Pier. Beach registration will also be open at 7:00 am on Saturday, September 5th. You must be registered prior to the beginning of the preliminaries of the desired heat and a $10 late registration fee will be incurred.

"We will need volunteers to assist with scaffolding construction this week. We will be meeting at Jack Link's located at 1729 Cogswell Street, Rockledge, FL 32955 at 8:30 am tomorrow (Tuesday) to load up the scaffolding. We will then need assistance setting up the scaffolding on the beach at the Cocoa Beach Pier. If you or anyone else you know needs volunteer hours or can help, we will desperately need it and are very short staffed. If you have any questions please call the office at 321-784-5661. They are aiming to be at The Cocoa Beach Pier near 11ish (Tuesday) to unload and set up .. if anybody can spare any amount of time, it will be greatly appreciated. They had things set up w/ the Sheriff's Department (the prisoner's have been helping us out the passed few years), but they totally bailed out on us last minute and Phil has been scrambling to find help the passed few days.
