Anyone remember the scenes from some of Cyrus Suttons movies where he builds a top for his van to go camping? Camper Van

Ebay pics

I'm thinking of coming up with something similar but mainly just an oversized luggage rack which can fit up to 9.5ft longboards and be locked. (No need to chop off the roof of the van when there's already plenty of room inside)

However, I was doing some searching around and am surprised to not have found anything online. Would anyone be interested in the plans if I came up with anything?

I've been doing some digging around on camper van conversions and have found some awesome ideas and interesting blogs on people's experiences of living the minimalist lifestyle. Alot of ideas are impractical, but every now and then you find something which is just super simple and seems to work well. Here's a few cool ones below:

Saw a guy do it the other way once -

made a raised floor in the van and boards went under the floor.

Bed in the back was raised higher, space for LB fins, even extra shortboards back there.

In the front the floor was raised just a little, only 4" or so, to get the front of the LBs.

Honda Element's have an awesome tent that connects to back like pic of Odyssey? Is actually bigger than this setup.
