Tip asked me about my trip so I figured I would post up a couple quick photos.

Have never had Costa on my radar really after hearing how touristy it has become. Loved El Salvador and Hawaii was fun because I was with some locals and got to surf some spots I probably would not have been able to.

Was pretty impressed with the Nicoya Peninsula. ALOT of breaks that not crowded.

Surfed Samara area and Mal Pais area.

Wildlife Refuge near samara

Took the GoPro out on a small day to mess around.

Traveled down to surf Santa Teresa area.

The "low tide" road to Santa Teresa

Surfed Playa Carmen at hightide
fun mid break to shorebreak a little crowded since it was the obligatory sunset surf session for surfers and beach goers alike.

Was able to snag waves with the locals since some of the other traveller surfers were afraid of taking off in front of the rocks an a bit timid of the shorebreak. It felt like home. Kinda like old school boardwalk with a little extra thump. One wave I got pitted lost BOTH eye contacts in the barrel came out schwacked the lip and rode it to the sand. And got a some Tico hoots from the beach. Florida boyz ain't skeered of shorebreak!

Santa Teresa
(Not my pics) I am in love with that break!!

Beautiful beach and wave. Our wives loved the set up for relaxing on the beach. ++ Nice trees and overhang plus nice sand etc.

While out in the water chatting I ended up meeting JCARDER from 2ndlight forum?! He lived in Melbourne awhile back and is now a local there and had the spot wired.

After the wind the picked up a little.

Cool, I've driven the low tide beach before, cool to be able to do that. Camaronal is a great break with lots of power, like Hermosa but without the closeouts. Iv'e never seen more than a hand full of surfers there but I think it too is changing. Look at that fancy path. I'll be in Costa next week but not up that way, more business than surfing

Thanks for the stroll down Pura Vida lane. Guanacaste is my fav place, anywhere.
