Someone please give us a smidgin of hope. All the long-range forecasts look so dismal.

I can use a little hope myself. Pray for surf. I'm really pissed! I missed the last swell. Gotta earn a livin'! 10 days off after the 21st.

^^ I hear ya camguy, I've missed the last few swells due to work, grateful for my job but it just seems to work out that way.

1992 Christmas morning at the Radisson south of Eau Gallie blvd, waves were like 6' or so and looked like corduroy with lines as far as I could see! Hope we find waves under the tree this year

Thank you to all that took the time to post pics last week, a nice reminder of how good it can get here in Florida at times and the talent in the water and behind the lens.

^^^ same here...I hardly ever miss a swell, but this one lined up with a week long conference. I was not happy about that....on top of that, I came home with a cold. Florida's grass is pretty green compared to 90% of the rest of the country. I'm never comfortable with leaving to go out of these subtropical zones we find ourselves in.

Deffinatly an awesome swell that progressed my surfing immensely. Ive had good sessions but never good sessions everyday for a week.won't be here for Christmas but hopefully it will pan out for the working class over their vacation.

Ps. I'll be looking for a job when I return to Florida the first week of January.  I've finished my associate degree to engineering but have run into a residency issue with ucf and  can't afford the extra 15,000 a year tuition for out of state students. Anybody hiring can pm me.

AH, LAST WEEK.... SO PITTED!!!!! SORRY you missed the last swell, but that work thing is really overrated! It took me out of surfing for a good 10 years!!!!!

But some think we may have more waves to share! But so far out is scary to put out there, they nailed the last few swells!

Who's arms still hurt?

But I'm a little ruined now. So hard to get used to "knee to waist high" after what we had. And I have a black belt in groveling.

Brother, when you get a minute, could I get a list of the words that trigger these fits?

Hey. Where are we going? (And what are we doing in a hand-basket?)

Cyclogenisis will occurr with the huge low dropping down from Cananda , it will bomb out and the NE wil get a rager of a storm, question is will this low track far enough out in the Atlantic or hug the coast and make its way to Nova Scotia?  Too early to tell....there is hope... just need better model guidance on the track of the Low once it gets in the North Atlantic.

The other low tracking across the Gulf will give the West coast of FL something, not sure it will cross FL and go far enough out to sea to kick back a swell.

my 00.02 cents

^^^Update GFS says NO although it is way out but the strong low will remain out of our swell window.  Too bad it is a mother of a low with pressures down to 960 mb !!! again this is like 192 hours out, maybe it will track lower...gut feeling is it will not

Maybe...model run changing (as always) looks like most of all of the energy will going straight out to sea.  My take is very So FL. small refracto wave, not worth the Gas/time BUT hopefully the next GFS run shows differently
