Since the Neilson shop closed, Tom's had some leftover inventory sitting around and wanted to move it. He's giving FREE shipping on any tshirts ordered online. Just thought I'd mention it here for those who may be interested.

Off topic but may be helpful, VW of America has been reallly shitty about people using their vehicles or name in recent years. I doubt Tom would have an issue, but something to think about if he's having another run of them made.

A friend is dealing with copyright infringement suit from Ford, even though he is a vendor for one of their divisions. But you know, lawyers and all...

Thanks for the heads up. I'll pass that info along with regard to re-prints.

VW should be proud of the endorsement.

As I understand it, VW decided to let lawyers on their own go after anyone and if they could get some $ out of anyone for infringemnt, then VW and the lawyers split the proceeds. Little to no discrection by VWoA as to who was targeted. The name "bug" is trademarked by VW in relation to vehicles. Small mom and pop shops that service 1974 and earlier aircooled cars that have had their business name for many years were being sued.

That's shitty, and only hurts the people who are most passionate about their brand. I just checked out the 2 shirts that are buses and neither even shows the trademark and both were personal cars of staff/friends so it'd be a hard connection, but just responding to a lawyer in a legal fashion is more time/effort than it's worth and sadly makes people re-evaluate even fair uses.

Oh well, you guys buy 'em up so it's not an issue anymore

There's 3 M and 2 XL of the split window:

And only 2 M of the Yellow van shirt:

Keep the lawyers away and buy them!
