Tip is right.....worth it on swells like these to drive around a bit. The usual spots up here were crowded and mostly closing out. Drove around 30 minutes and found a sandbar where the waves were consistently reeling 100+ yds. Only me and 2-3 other guys on it all morning. Stoked

Ohhh....it's time for another session.

Couldn't agree with you anymore. Surfed all day yesterday by myself pretty much.

There's never a reason to surf crowded spots in central FL, so many spots that break all the time.

Unfortunately when the county makes your local out front spot a parking lot with 5x as many spaces, add some shitters, and makes unlimited parking across the street, and you want to grab a quick sesh after work you end up in the water with 200 people you don't know. RIP in peace Hightower

"know your sandbars" is about as obvious as saying "the water is wet". Stoked you caught it good though!

I remember the old days, spot was never crowded.  The old dirt parking lot, narrow dune crossover, just a trash can.  I was all alone this morning to the south, just had to go for a little stroll away from the photogs (surfer magnets).

You would think so but more people look for crowds then finding a sandbar for yourself.

Along those lines I have really missed the streets. The metered parking keeps the crowds down. What an awesome day today. Large, some overhead, clean, fast and super vibe. Words like epic and orgasmic come to mind. Cold beer with a bud afterward. This is what ya live for.

Brother, when you get a minute, could I get a list of the words that trigger these fits?

Hey. Where are we going? (And what are we doing in a hand-basket?)

Fun two days with today being the better I thought, less closeouts, less crowds and better vibe. Paddled around Stu (actually in his way for one of his) and watched him get into some nice ones. Had a great time last night surfing with a friend who was pulling the hard charger dropping in on the big closeouts with nowhere to go... always fun to watch.

Surfed 11 hours at 5 different spots over the past two days. Even got to surf 2nd Light for real (not just here) for the first time in many years today around noon. Very fun. Didn't run into any "2nd Lighters" though, didn't think they'd know the secret hand sign- Anybody remember that! HAHA

Surfed out with a glass of wine. Looking for a Sunday revival.

How was the Light?

Love the place, but my local bar has been good.

WOW was today ever fun. OK in the morning but the afternoon incoming tide was a goofy footers dream where I was. I am so glad I took Thursday off work instead of Wed. Noodle armss and need food, then a lot of sleep.

NSB was as good as it gets this morning.....not the inlet. Head high plus peelers for miles.

The Nsb inlet cam had 50+ people out at 730am. Sheeple. Kept them away from other places though!

Got this gem at HT around 7:45 this morning. Even got a parking spot in the first row. Had to leave for work... Everyone was surfing the peak along the north ledge of the tower but peak a little north of that was firing and I was sharing it with like 4 guys....

...And I completely fell on top of a guy today, and it was undoubtedly my fault...If you are reading this I am sorry. I hope I didn't ruin your day.. It was obvious you were pissed but I appreciate the composure you held... I hesitated. Sorry!
