My current fantasy team is:

Tube riding A-Team  -   Jimmy Slade    JJ   CJ

Proven Shredders -  Gabby     Adriano

Will not be denied -  Travis  Wilko and Owen

Please let CJ make it to the later rounds so that he can surf some bombs in competition!

Ceej/Kelly final. a CJ win!

Helmets should start 'NOW'! color them, Jai Alai does like many other dangerous comp sports. It'll bring another level of credability to the sport.

Bourez' brother took a terrible wipeout in the trials.  A helmet could possibly have helped.  Yikes

I like that this year instead of different apps/websites to stream the events they are exclusively going thru asp.com and youtube. They just have to fix the streaming issues and it will be sik.

Head first on the reef.  Apparently deep facial lacerations and multiple head/ skull fractures.  I hope he makes a complete recovery.  This is a serious wave with serious consequences.  A helmet would have helped for sure.  It's not a matter of "if", but rather "when" bad injuries (or worse) will occur at this wave.

You think?  With the forecast calling for a lot of/ multiple swells during the waiting period, I was thinking/ hoping they'd hold-off the start till Monday when they're expecting a real, macking swell.  We'll find-out in a couple of hours.  Should be a pretty epic event regardless.  Yeew!  Let's go Ke11y and CJ!

SUNDAY 17th: Modest SW swell in AM; mix of building WSW and long period SW swell in PM
SURF: Fun size 4-5-6' faces in the morning. New swells building in the afternoon and especially over the last couple hours of light. Face size in the 6-8'+ range with some 10'+ sets by sundown. Stay tuned.
WIND: Light to moderate E trades 8-13kts.

MONDAY 18th: Pumping SW swell fills in further and peaks
SURF: 10-15'+ faces, largest sets in the 18' range on the face. Stay tuned, still dependent on storm behavior in the next day or two but looking on track so far.
WIND: Light+ E trades shifting ENE in the PM 8-12kts.

I'm sure even seasoned pros get butterflies when they see that!
