or can we just vote to annex orlando into its own seperate city state?

Maybe we should even consider a license plate scanner that will warn everyone of possible orlando terrorists?

Maybe you can go to the several other 'don't let
those inlanders into our part of the state'
threads and cry about it there.

GET OVER IT ALREADY!

So lets see how this thread turns out....

you bitch cause you got your feelings hurt by
someone that was from orlando

someone from orlando post that they can surf
better than you

then there's a story of someone that used to live
beach side but now lives inland because there's no
job that pays what he/she gets paid here

someone else post about how the inlanders are
fucking everything up but really, it's at three
concentrated spots, jetty park, pie-r, cocoa sluts

then there are people that post about working out
there but live here in orlando

i'm going to say something like, one of the hobgoods
lives here in orlando... why don't you tell him to
stay here in town (saw him and his fam at a walgreens
and they were talking about going to a specific school
for their kids meeting)

then it's going to just be a, 'who can type fast enough
to make some zinger before the next person' type
of thread

and then it's going to die down until someone like
yourself decides to post another unwanted thread like
this again which starts another vicious cycle

how about you not make some ridiculous post, since it's
your sixth post and you just found that little piece of
paper with all eight of your passwords including your
myspace log in, and actually post something useful
and worthwhile for the rest of us to read.

Go choke

Definelty. Trolling hard SS12, slow down there!

And @rickiegrande- well said! This forum is very "bill murrey- Groundhog Day". Way too much of the same topic on replay with the same arguments. The end of "dropsolo" approaches (jay-z retirement style), not that I ever brought much to the mix anyways. Any other forums with more color around? 16 streets allowing new members yet?

I think it's safe to conclude that a minority of good surfers, for whatever the reason, are living in Orlando and have to weekend warrior in order to stay active.

Northjetty101, verse 22: "You can live in Orlando, but you are not of Orlando."

And by of Orlando I mean a surf poser raised there who likes to look the look but can't surf worth a shit.

Rename Orlando "Rancho Cucamonga".  Or in Oregon terms, "Portland," which happens to be about the same size as Orlando.

Be flattered that hardcore/desperate surfers are willing to drive an hour to surf your 1-4ft mushy breaks. The majority of 321 locals would definitely not do the same if the tables were turned and they had to drive... in fact, how often do they chase swells up and down the coast ?

I am from a different situation than perhaps anyone in the area. Most people do not find themselves as a H.S.A. surfer then move to Florida. Let alone that my father moved us to a place where it was cheap...Orlando.

So taking me out of the mix for Brevard, Volusia, or Orlando...

There are idiots and ghetto thug types everywhere now. So you can not just pick out some trash throwing kook in a wife beater and say they are from O-Town. I am sure the apartments in Cape Canaveral are loaded with them.

Same old adage at any place. Respectfulness and a love for not only surfing but your local area will get you a long way. If you are involved and you are not a public nuisance; you can get along any place. That even goes for the local dirt bags who steal and do other lame b.s.

Good point,Steve,,,,, Rick too,

So how do the Hawaiian locals feel when their little slice of paradise gets bombarded by

a car/truckload of in a hurry, big city/non-local types? Just curious

I always crack up when the Orlando slagging gets going. I live in Gainesville and generally surf from St. Augustine down to Fort Matanzas, depending on conditions. I'm glad the people on the Surf Station forum don't hate on us Gvillers as much as you guys hate on Orlando residents

I think this how the whole Gaza/Jerusalem problem started. Seriously, I thought this subject died off in 1977.

He has a very solid point. It's like someone who lives in a cardboard box making fun of someone who lives in a dumpster while the people in the apartment laugh at both

What he has is a series of logical fallacies.

An appeal to wave size.

An appeal to location.

All distraction fallacies aimed at putting the attention on something other than the fact that Orlando has been producing kooks that crowd out local beaches for decades now.

If the waves aren't worth holding people accountable for their own actions then the same individuals hadn't ought to be surfing in those waves to begin with.

There's no waves in Florida?

Well then stop surfing please and remove one less person from the crowd.....

the people who move to 'cali' and still post here are just as annoying
been awhile since ive seen that guy that moved to SF that was a debbie downer on the report posts here

yesterday and today were enjoyable btw, 'bullshit windchop' apparently plenty of people enjoy it.. have fun in your wetsuit year round / cost of living / sitting in traffic / fight for parking / not living near beach unless you're loaded Though if I was going to sit in the car for an hour both ways, I dont blame you and would rather drive for california surf

I actually like living here...

fwiw i enjoy going to orlando and easy access via 528, orlando is good for our area economically for sure

that doesnt mean there arent plenty of out of town disrespectful shmucks that come through here

I also bitch about the orlando tourists that make I4 orlando the scariest road in the state and I don't even live there, aside from college
