Matt had a serious accident two weeks ago. He is not taking visitors but he is taking good wishes on 2ndlight. Please put your positive wishes on this thread. And,Matt, thanks for the fun waves for Watermans. Everyone is out having a great time.

Matt's one of the most unpretentious people I know, and he is an asset to this community. I will be praying for a positive outcome like many others.

Dear God please help our friend ... Matt , we hope and pray for your recovery. The ocean's not the same without you brother .

We care for you Matt.

I want everyone here to know the definition of surf stoke.

Someone who works in an office environment who brings his board EVERY day to work, hangs it out the back of his truck with a towel over it and surfs EVERY day at lunch. He then goes out after work EVERY day.

Matt is the definition of pure surfing stoke every day of his life.

This is my observation for years and years of this lad.

It cannot be God's will to take this from him. If He does, there is a reason beyond my comprehension.

Please let him heal and be back in the lineup.

Matt, we pray for a speedy and full recovery!
