OK, I think that's a typo and they meant Fiji and not Cuba.........because if that is Cuba then I'd be so F'ing pissed off that a reeling restaurants-like lefthander is sitting within a short plane ride from Miami.  They don't have commuist surf camps?  Charlie don't surf?

I dunno, I see videos of the dominican republic occaisonally and they're about that size, color and hollowness just no where near the length of ride.  I mean that looks like Mundaka or Pavones in length.  Wtf.

Good post, Northjetty.

I think it is Cuba but unless that is some secret spot it must have been close to perfect conditions where it happens maybe once a year.

Cuba has more coastline than Florida, is wide open to the Gulf of Mex and is on the far end of the Caribbean Sea, real real good chance of incredible surf all over that island, never seen any, been thinkin bout that place for decades, glad to see something real finally show up?or is it,,,wow!!

That doesnt look like a caribbean sea wave to me. More like the Indian ocean. How could a wave that good in Cuba, stay a secret for that long? The new surfer mag has on the cover that Caribben spot that is suposed to be super secret that nobody knows where it is except all the people who have had their photo taken there and the photographers that have made money documenting it. The surfer mag spot is real the Cuba spot is a fantasy. Cuba would have world class surfers if that wave existed.

There's no indication that anyone has ever surfed Cabo Corrientes in western Cuba, but it looks pointy.

That doesn't look like a Caribbean sea wave to me... I see the guys wearing booties, not that it's cold water, but really, are the reefs that shallow and sharp???? Hmm the speed of the wave, I've seen that in PR..If this is Cuba, WSL needs to make a stop here

BTW the water color just doesn't seem to be turquoise enough, I've been to Haiti and Dem Repl.... water color is insane there
