Mini Simmons Square Nose!
Dims: 5'1" x 21 1/2" x 2 5/8"
I hulled out the bottom of this version, and pinched the rails. After a test drive, I can say hands down it performs the best ...btw its very satisfying to surf your own shapes...highly recommend everyone taking a crack at it!

Me too! That looks like it would be a fun ride. Who does your glassing? Do they set your fin boxes?

Thanks guys!
@seadragon Larry Pope does the glassing, and he also sets the finplugs for me. I just mark the locations.
@zel....I use a handsaw to cut out the outline. Then a sure form to true up the rails. Its pretty much just a power planer and a sanding block from there! |

do you use screen ?
a guy who used to shape my boards would do some detail work with screen, accomplished the same thing as sand-paper in less time, then would fine tune with sand-paper another thing he used to do (not sure how much it helped or not) was once he had all the sanding down and just before glassing, he would run the screen along the board length wise just once, leaving small grooves running the length of the board. as mentioned, Im not sure how much it helped, but I never buckled or broke one of his boards, and I had 3 of them. excellent, fun looking shape. Im not into the the fin setup much as Ive never been fond of twins, even fishy type shapes of twins. but this shape with a trailer 3rd fin with the front 2 placed accordingly looks like it would be hella fun. ------------------------- check it ! another ride ------------------------------- I think we have a new breed of "armchair" hero, kennesawcon is an "armchair patriot" |

"Soap Bar" made me think about my grandmother's favorite soap, called Lifebuoy. It must have floated. Looks like it's become something you'd find in Australia, Indonesia or maybe Central America. |

Screen is very good to use on the rails, removes much more foam than sandpaper. Cheap too. ------------------------- |
