Had the displeasure of having my leash get cut in half by my fins leading to a long swim in some pretty soupy surf.  Not fun when your arms are noodles and you are fighting a leg cramp.  It seems like someone could make one where the first foot or two off the rail saver was wrapped in kevlar.

I'd pay $100 for leash that couldn't be cut.

I'm looking for a durable leash, just broke my 3rd in 2 months.. Any recommendations on a brand that will last a while? Not necessarily looking for one that is bulletproof.

But will you swim out and get me when/if the leash breaks LOL. That is great to see the LBH step up with that kind of backing.

I do have a Bully's that has to be well over 15 years old.  In the back of my mind I keep thinking I should replace it due to age. I don't know if they still make them the same way, but this one has brass swivels to avoid issues with corrosion.

I too have a Bully's that had to be about 10 years old. But it finally broke on my yesterday morning. Broke at the brass swivel where it connects to the velcro ankle strap. I was bummed.

I Busted My first leash on saturday way on the outside at PLiNda, I went for a dumb big size wave that had no proper form and it ate me when i dropped in then i fealt that leash pop  as i was in the swirling black abyss trying to find which way up was, what a swim, no fun!! Talk about a good way to wake up and start the day and see how beautiful it is!!

Cut another one yesterday.  Thank goodness I brought two boards.  That is two ruined leashes in about a months time.  I picked up an extra to keep in my backpack.  I wish the rail saver strap was about 18 inches.  That would alleviate the issue.

Definately fin cuts since around 1 foot of leash is left hanging off the tail.

try creatures? Ive been using them for about a year. The velcro goes out before anything else on them. Very solid.

"Cut another one yesterday. Thank goodness I brought two boards."

Are you wrapping your leash around your board to store it? If so, don't.
