Wind isn't helping the streets. Waist high closeouts, drifty. Saw a few short boarders making the occasional short section.

OC's looked LARGE and too many waves to a set. Travelled north in the direction of the Pier and had some decent fun there. I have discovered I would rather grovel in large waves than grovel in small waves (like it's been). Mostly waist high by 10AM with definitely shoulder high sets on the outside. Shoulders to be had and there was some reform on this inside if it didn't mush out on your way there. Drifty all over there but you could hold your own without too much trouble (though it was sapping the wave count as it always does). Water was clear and the sun was out. Nice enough.

Brother, when you get a minute, could I get a list of the words that trigger these fits?

Hey. Where are we going? (And what are we doing in a hand-basket?)

I just got in from da*lite and ditto on the above post. Its got some size to it. Wind is all over it. Water feels good. 3-4 feet with some occ. bigger sets. Mostly closing out. For surf in June...I'll take it...

Not to bad of a paddle out but definitly saw a lot of people getting ripped south on the inside but if you punched through it wasn't a problem. there were definitive lines coming through at around 4-5' for sets at 2nd light on the outer bars at low tide and fun if you got a good shoulder. Of course the wind made it funky bumpy. more 9-10 second swell showing today than last night. to hoping the winds gives us a break or storm changes it up tomorrow afternoon.

returned to da Lite around 5ish for another session

rode one fun one with a semi-gnarly mid-break, then never made it back out for a 2nd one... 2 walks of shame with my 6'8' thruster, then denied a 3rd time ...
I guess I was more surfed out from the morning sesh than I thought I was... but more likely, I'm just getting older by the minute

got worked duckdiving some of the mid-break slammers

saw Cole on a really super fast set left with at least one good vertical snap on it before I paddled thru

Cole rips

deinitely wouldnt call it head high anyhwere today. or even 5-6 feet... maybe chest, maybe 4 ft. it was fun, but over calling it like that is just wrong.

Maybe in the cape or the streets and north not being over chest high....down below that too the inlet was def chest head high all day...It's June we don't see anything near head high usually this time of year or anything NE direction.Enjoy it while it's here and not lapping on the beach for MONTH at a time!!
