Our first event of the Sebastian Inlet Chapter membership drive is this weekend 6/9 in Palm Bay. But the incredible folks at Long Doggers have set it up so that people can join our chapter anytime during the month of June at all four locations. It will be as simple as ordering an item from their menu (except you'll need to write down your name/address/email for membership info). Long Doggers is kicking in $5 for each, so the cost to you is only $20!

Donations in the amount of $1 or $5 all month long will get your name up on the wall of your favorite Long Doggers, helping that location out-do the others in terms of fundraising.

Look for our tent outside the Palm Bay Long Doggers this Saturday! We'll be there lunchtime through dinner. Come by and talk to us for info on membership and opportunities to get involved!

If you donate $1 or $5, they give you a little surfboard to put on the wall. It's like having ur own surf brand

This Saturday our crew will be at Post Road Long Doggers (right by BCC). We also just got the clearance on offering the vouchers for the $30 credit towards purchase of the ''Endless Summer'' license plate.

So anyone who wants to get that plate can join our chapter of Surfrider Foundation by paying $20, Long Doggers will kick in $5 to round out $25 annual membership, and you will be able to receive a voucher worth $30. Sound good?

(the vouchers will be done by email after the monthlong membership drive is completed)

Also we have two boards that we'll probably finish raffling off tomorrow. One Stu Sharpe and one Patrick Madden. Thanks to local shapers for supporting our chapter through the donation of the boards.

This coming Saturday we'll be at Satellite Long Doggers all day, but you can still join (or donate) any time at any of Long Doggers' four locations. And they are still kicking in $5 of membership fee so you can join for $20!

We had a great time at Indialantic the other day in spite of not-so-cooperative weather. At least it wasn't like today!

Coming back from the 'Left Coast this week-end.  Wish I could join you all.  Should be a good time!

Dude/dudette - go on, pull the trigger on the SRF membership.  Long Doggers is picking up 20% of the cost.  It doesn't get any cheaper than that.  It will make you feel good, guaranteed!!!!!

Que buena la fiesta!!

The beaches are full of plastic -- at every session I see over ten pieces of plastic. At Publix people still use plastic bags to bag their groceries.

California has a wave of banning the plastic bag -- it just makes sense.

Plastics in the ocean are a big problem. Countless marine turtles and birds are killed because they mistake small pieces for food. The fire-retardant that is in most plastics is becoming so pervasive in the oceans, and concentrating itself up the food chain, that's it present in our blood. And it's not good for you.

One of the local Publix has distributed over 7000 re-usable bags, so they're trying.... We've spoken to them about decreasing single-use plastics.

Rise Above Plastics is one of the campaigns we'll be tabling this Saturday in Satellite Beach!
