If anyone knows these kids, have their parents email me and I will send them the files for a keepsake of this fantastic event. letzmgo@aol.com

Style is everything...

It's o.k. dude, I felt exactly the same way the first time I paddled into Hermosa...

Had so much fun at this event. These kids were so beautiful. God's nectar. Loved it!

Brother, when you get a minute, could I get a list of the words that trigger these fits?

Hey. Where are we going? (And what are we doing in a hand-basket?)

Great pictures. Can't wait till next year. Making sure Watermans does not conflict next year so that Cocoa Beach Surf Museums members can volunteer!

Glad to hear! I was bouncing back and forth between events. Didn't have a chance to volunteer with the kids though due to the heats.

The waves were perfect, the kids were perfect, and shakas were thrown with wreckless abandon!!!  Awesome day with the RockStars!

I want to thank all the amazing volunteers who came out to SFA Cocoa - you have touched our lives in such an amazing way - we are so grateful for your help allowing our children to become little rock stars on the waves! These children are shunned by so many every day, their confidence and pain is very real but on Saturday they flew, they soared and they found themselves accepted and loved for who they were!

My son had the biggest smile and was so excited to get into the water, I cried with so much emotion, joy, awe, and thanks.  He beamed and I could see how that positive vibe built up his confidence that he was enough Just The Way He Is!

You are all angels!

I rode down from the Watermans to see this event as I have wanted to volunteer for a couple years but always had schedule conflicts. Will definately do it next year, can't wait.

One thing that I think is awesome is that in every photo, if there is another person in frame, they have a huge grin as well! Great pics Louis!

This is what its all about!  I volunteered last year, and it was an amazing experience.  The kids were so stoked!  Surfing and being in the water really calms them down.  This event wouldn't be possible without all the awesome sponsors, volunteers and parents!  Thank You!

Mousrieid,

Very well said!!!

My son has autism as well, and as hard as I tried to teach him how to surf, it just didn't happen...

We attended the Ponce Inlet event last year, and through the patience and love of the great Dave Rossman at SFA, my son caught his first wave, and he has been stoked ever since on surfing

So glad you and your son and so many others were able to be touched by this "awesome"/"life changing" organization!!!

Louis,

Great shots as always!!!

Thanks for capturing and sharing the stoke and love!!!

FYI,

Below is a link to future events:
http://surfersforautism.org/?p...ts&eventDisplay=month

They also have a store with some cool surf apparel, etc. that helps fund this most worthy of not for profit organizations...

Perfect pix, Louis, and another amazing day, for all involved....

The surf was ideal for this Blessed event and it truely is the best day of the year for me, you can feel the Love from the kids their parents and all of us volunteers, smiles all around all day, so much real stoke and, as we know, the ocean and surf really is healing.

To all that missed this one there are more up the coast and again next year

This was the start of an amazing day!!

You cant say enough about what Mark does at these events, bringin` it!!!

Thanx for posting the pic of the board I painted. We raffled it off and raised some good money for a great cause. Was an awesome day, and the after party was of the chain with DJ Jimmy South.
