For the mass market (I see upper income retirees), it's well done.  

The business of learning on minimum surfable waves is exactly like advice in learning river kayaking.  Get your moves down pat on a quiet class 1 or class 2 stream.  Go ahead and use the same stream until you know everything about it.  Then you can master the harder stuff a lot faster.
