Has anyone here surfed Tres Palmas, PR when it gets bigger (4x overhead)? In your opinion, how does it hold up in comparison to Todos, etc.? Does it hit the 15-20 ft mark that often every winter? Doesn't seem like too many make the trip/follow it to catch it when it gets bigger. But, I've never been there, so... |

Baby steps..... Start with trip up your own coast to the far north. Some great uncrowded waves to start a big wave attack. Then get on a plane. Again cut the crap and break out the map, stop asking and find out on your own. Right Tip?

Thanks guys for your feedback. Anyone else out there who makes the trip? Bear, thanks for the advice about checking out up north, you're definitely right (I grew up up north). As for the rest of your 'advice'... |

its nothing crazy....good place to learn how to ride big waves...learn the basics about commitment and punishment....but if you've already conquered todos...it may be a little soft for your taste |

I caught Tres at 3-4x overhead a year ago. Long paddle out, but it's worth it. Just don't fall while dropping in
The pic in my signature below is from Tres. -------------------------
