That was the 2nd bite on that day, in the same area and within an hour or 2 of each other. The media (as usual) over-hyped the hell out of them.

Ya I know wishful thinking. I've been bit there and I still surf it so the sharks really don't deter anyone

I just saw the biggest shark I have ever seen inthe wild here in Jax Beach!  Easily a 8-10ft black tip cruising north through the inside barely 30yards from shore.

At first I though it was two dolphin swimming next to each other, but the fins were too big, too pointed, and too dark. Then I thought maybe a huge manta ray? I continue to watch it as I slowly make my way to the beach.  The whole time listening to someone hollering at me to get out of the water! Both of us agree this was the biggest shark we have ever seen at the beach.  We walk north a few blocks following its slow cruise north.

I'm not one to hype sharks and usually pay no attention, but this one could not be ignored.  I cannot believe how big and how close this shark was, insane! Caution...just saying.

Today in S. Cocoa beach I just saw a huge fin mucking around in the break.

Definatly wasnt a dolphin. I was just about to head out until I saw that beast. He didnt bother the surfer that were north and south of it.

Yest I was out and thought I saw the belly of a spinner out of the corner of my eye. I thought itgs my imagination. Then I saw a small spinner jump in the same area. Yeah maybe it wasnt my imagination.

Seen some big creatures in South Cocoa. I know they're everywhere... but it's just dumb luck I see more of them around there.
