You want the storm to be moving towards to for a good track..shes going nnw, then making the turn so the MA and NE should see some good SSE swell, while we get small kickback groundswell.

Jellyfish, sharks and the wrong #!$@&%# wind.

Surfing in Florida should be registered on the International Torture list.

We had offshores for both Irene and Katia, with Irene being about as good as it gets in florida. I am not going to complain because we are getting onshores from a half assed wannabe storm's swell.

A hurricane going north way out there isn't really going to bring any significant swell this way.  Propofol is right, it needs to be coming toward you for some time, which it has and we already got those waves.

Strong NE winds from HIGH pressure will be building in behind a cool front this weekend. That's what the buoy and surf forecasts are showing. Not Ophelia.

There may be a small underlying East swell from Ophelia but you won't be able to tell since the NE'lies will be cranking.

Either way, it's waves, and it looks like about a week of windchop coming our way so get the duckdiving down and the paddling arms ready.

Any storm east of Bermuda is not much interest.Theres been a Windswell forcasted for a week..This from stormsurf North windswell building to 4.4 ft @ 6-7 secs
High pressure is to dip southeast generating more northeast winds at 15-20 kts pushing into the Southeast coast with some windswell generation potential. A pretty solid offshore flow is to set up over the Northeast coast suppressing swell development there. Ophelia racing northeast and of no interest.

did you notice that theose models show opeheila's recurve preventing TS Phillipe from heading north.... NHC drastically changed their forecasts and now have him dissapating then heading west as a resultant wave

Who knows might be something to watch if/when it gets over the warmer waters round the islands, but that's out there on on a maybee maybee not prbly not   North windswell building to 4.4 ft @ 6-7 secs High pressure is to dip southeast generating more northeast winds at 15-20 kts pushing into the Southeast coast with some windswell generation potential.
