I kinda miss Rainbow surfboards and Doug Wright in Rockledge. Back when I started fixing and shaping boards, he was our supplier for MCS closed cell epoxy blanks (and im my opinion superior still to any of the packaging foam EPS blanks of today) and epoxy resin. Got to the point where we where there so often buying stuff, we'd show up and he'd let us go cut out our own blanks on his hotwire setup instead of having him or someone else stop what they were doing to give us a hand.

Last I saw him, he was doing offshore racing boats (got away from surfboards), had a huge CNC machine for shaping hulls and HUGE molds for making them too. Ever hear what it sounds like when extracting a boat hull from a mold using water pressure? It's cool

last time I rode this board was the same last time the gulf had a good winter... hehehe like 2 years ago. (This hurricane season is going to go off the chain off the hook & off the charts - BTW) The board is so much fun. I wore my wetsuit every time I've ridden so I'm REALLY looking forward to going tri-coastal after hunting a few H'canes. Oh yeah, AND it really is super-lite & superlight too.
