I have a problem. I have futures fins and when I was putting my fins in using my fcs hatchet tool the tip of the allen head broke off inside the screw. Now I cant get the screw out and the fins stuck in there. I wouldnt really care but I have a sick pair of fins on the board and id like to be able to travel with it. I tried using a drill and drill bit to try and drill it out with no luck. Any ideas? -------------------------

so the tip of the key got broken off inside of the screw? take another key, put some superglue on the tip, stick it in there and wait a while, then pull it out. it'll either take the old tip out, or get stuck in there with it. but i'm fairly confident that it will work.

Id try to take the broken drill bit and superglue it back to the broken tip stuck in the fin screw. Patiently let it sit and dry for a few minutes and then just try and pull it out, replace the fin screw and you'll be money.

Take a drill bit that is less in diameter than the screw, drive it into the broken head a bit and then leave it stuck. Take a pair of pliers and gently rotate it out. ------------------------- I am outta here. I'll be back to the NSR in the fall. Until then, have a nice spring and summer. Later, dudes. |

1/16 left hand drill. As you drill it will back the screw out. http://www.mcmaster.com/#left-hand-drill-bits/=bl2iwq ------------------------- |

what I would do is take your dremel and use a cutoff wheel and cut a slot like a flathead screw across the top of the screw. then back it out with a flathead screw driver.
