walked outside and it sounds like a jetplane about to pass by -- must still be slightly onshore wind...

Another morning of WNW-NW winds when onshores have been predicted... I'm not complaining.

Wow! As big as I've seen in in quite a while - well overhead. Offshores and clean. NOT closing out in Satellite. Too old for that, though, heading north.

I just checked all the cams. looks very big and a lot of water moving South of Patrick. Much smaller North and up into Canaveral.

Heard that some strong paddlers got denied in Sat Beach. May be a day to head north.

North streets is well overhead on the sets, picture perfect a-frames with light offshores. Nothing closing out as far as the eye can see from the 5th story and 16x zoom on my camera.

Edit: out the door in 10

Fun, fun, fun. Hit 16th, where it was head+ and clean. Looong lefts. Had the longest ride on a short board that I can remember on this coast. Little chilly with a top. Paddleout not bad at all.

Strange thing is that hardly anyone was out. Just 4 of us at 16th.

6:30ish ....checked Satellite. Winds better north I thought. Went to
O'Club....looked smaller.
7am....hit the water back in Satellite...

.....denied !!

Drifty, but didn't look the bad at all.

....a second attempt and DENIED a second time. if you looked at it, you would never have thought.... but I wasn't the only I would soon fine out.

Went north to O'Club....found another denied wave rider from Satellite...
......and I only had a 6 min paddle to get out with well overhead clean faced waves

3 hrs later, I was whooped!!! Fun session

Post session pics back in Satellite.
Watched 5 short boarders walk up the beach and paddle out. 15 min later, two were giving up and coming in. The other 3 still struggling....
Drift much worse in Satellite....but some would make it seem easy...

pics...

It's a total mess up here.  I paddled my surfski out Ponce Inlet and then north a ways so I could get some runners back toward the inlet.  Wind was hard side shore, 15 sustained with gusts to 25 or 30.  Fun downwind surfski conditions offshore but the break was a mess everywhere I went.   A kite boarder in the inlet over on the NSI side was having a blast.  I thought it was supposed to be north wind at 10 but it was ripping north wind from 10 to 1.  Amazing what a difference a few miles makes.

awesome shots, thanks for sharing, we went straight north with the winds being what they were for some cape blockage... had one of the best beach break sessions ever! still well overhead on the sets and just a-framin long lefts and stand up rights, many barrels and leg burners!!!

OMG it was so fun today. Exceeded my expectations. Rock bottom was super fun, then a high tide drift through the streets.
