I grew up with Keith and I was lucky to call him a best friend. My heart, thoughts, are with his family right now.

This is hard to hear, my prayers are with his wife D, and their two children. Keith was so giving and ready to help out. Always with a smile. This is tough news to hear. Romans 8

Hey guys, Our prayers are with these families. I didn't know Keith or his family's financial situation, but I know things wouldn't be easy on my wife and kids if I were lost to them. Maybe one of his close friends could set up a trust for the family through a local bank that 2ndlighters could each throw a few bucks into?

This is horrible. I watched Mike grow up here and I see his Dad at the PO in Mel Beach everyday. Just a few weeks back Tom and I were surfing off 5th Ave. I was telling him about my son's trip to Nicaragua. He told me that Mike was going down in a couple of weeks. I can't believe this has happened. Such a wonderful and loving family. Tom please know that thoughts and prayers are with you and family.. Mike

This is the worse news I've heard in some time and am devastated. I only wish I could be with Keith's family in person to tell them what a great person and surf guide we, and the other guides, and friends of their's, in Nica have lost. If you have never been around Keith's 'boot camp' surf guide mentality, you have missed out on the most motivated surf guide I have ever been around. Surfed every session with his clients and his beautiful family invited you into their home as family and treated you as if. Many wonderful evenings at their casa. Always an early knock on the door in the morning for another great session.
The loss of two young men, along with Keith, just breaks my heart.
