Launch is set to go at 5:42 tonight, right after sunset so it should be spectacular with that lighting. I never seem to get great pics as you dont have long to experiment with settings. Anyone have any insight to share as far as best settings? I'm shooting with the a6000, I have the 2 kit lenses that came with it and a 50mm prime f1.6 lens to choose from. Thanks.

Are you shooting time lapse on a tripod or non time lapse? If it's dark shooting time lapse is about the only way to go. Trying to take a normal photo in complete darkness of a rocket is near impossible from a distance. It just doesn't look very good. Even if you have a huge aperture...
