My wife and I stopped by Humiston park in Vero to try and
catch the rising full moon. We had just been out to dinner celebrating our anniversary. What caught our eye was what we thought was a big tug boat pulling a barge full of containers and then what appeared to the naked eye as a flag on the old Breconshire wreck remains ( I was thinking it must be an old rag or whatnot to warn off any speedboats of the danger). I took a shot and enlarged it on the camera screen to show my wife that it was indeed a barge with containers aboard....anyway I panned over and realized what I thought was a rag or a danger flag was our American Flag. When I looked up again it had untangled and just like that, flew out and unfurled over the old wreck (2nd shot). Don't know who put it out there or when, but it sure made our holiday!

I remember diving that wreck when i was a kid with my Dad. He pulled me out to it from the beach and we spent an hour out there just looking around. How far off the beach is it? I have wanted to go back there ever since. Thanks for the great pic and bringing back alot of memories ------------------------- I taught you everything i know and you still don't know nothin. |
