Debby has taken all the cloud and haze with her, leaving perfectly clear skies. I think this is my clearest, sharpest Moon shot to date.

haha, both are great! what lense do you guys use for these moon shots? thank you. I used my 7D body and 100-400 L lens. I also just leaned against my wifes car to shoot it. I get the worst moon pics when I use a tripod, strange eh? You would think it would be the opposite. I also shot this before it was totaly dark. I find it helps to have a med. to dark blue, but not black sky. And shoot in manual mode, the camera will not give the right setting if left up to it's computer to figure them out. what I used: f:9 s/s-1/250 sec ISO- 400 W/B- auto -------------------------

Mine was a Nikon D300, 300 f4 with a 1.4 tc...for 420 mm, leaning on the fence in my backyard. ------------------------- |

This is what I see and want (as a challenge) Just not there yet. Nice stuff!!And I agree, my best so far was leaning on a brace of some sort, not a tripod. ------------------------- "Even if your on the right track, you'll get run over by a train if you just sit there" Will Rogers....I believe
