Is it feasible or advisable to clean the sensor. I have developed a small spot consistently, regardless of lense. Shows up most on solid, light colored backgrounds and moreso at short focal lengths. Method to do it myself?, or send it to a shop?

I haven't really done it a lot, but here is a link from a website that I consider trust worthy: http://www.luminous-landscape.com/essays/sensor-cleaning.shtml

THANKS! It's more annoying than serious and not visible under most conditions I shoot under.  Excellent link, thanks again.

What camera?

I DIY my own (Nikon D300). Just go to Southern Photo and get the proper cleaning solution and swabs for your camera.
You can online to see instructions on the proper technique.

NO fluid required with the Lenspen.
