I took a trip to Europe a few weeks back and I finally made it around to uploading a few of the shots from Rome. I'll be breaking up the post into several so you aren't bombarded. We also stopped by Athens and hopefully I'll get some of those shots up soon. Hope you like them!

Stiched panorama of the Roman Forum:

Temple of Castor and Pollux, in the Roman Forum:

Ponte Sant' Angelo, the bridge of [Roman Emperor] Hadrian, is lined with beautiful angel statues. The angels were to be made by the famous artist Bernini, however he only completed two. The Pope, Clement IX, put these two into his own collection and other sculptors made the angels on the bridge (in a fashion similar to Bernini's):

Arch of Constantine, next to the Colosseum, is a triumphal arch erected to commemorate Constantine's victory at the battle of Milvian Bridge. This is one of the latest of the triumphal arches in Rome:

Stained glass in Santa Maria Maggiore, the largest church in Rome dedicated to the Virgin Mary:

I dig the panorama, epic. Did you check out bansai? It's great surf spot near rome. I surfed it a couple of times when I lived in Italy.

Thanks a lot, I love making panoramas. There is something about that aspect ratio that resonates with me. Sadly, I didn't do any surfing on the trip, only sight seeing. I didn't even realize there was a break close by. That's pretty cool!

You're more than welcome. The next set should be up shortly (well sometime this weekend... or Monday).

Thanks, I have read that book actually (and a few others of his) and I did enjoy it. Another really good novel in a similar style is Gates of Fire: An Epic Novel of the Battle of Thermopylae by Steven Pressfield.
