claudie's been around a bit. from longboards to surfing fish at newbreak in san diego, the only other east coaster i know ever allowed there. learned fish from skip frye. surfed 1970 world contest. one of the first florida short board innovators. and has suffered some major sorrow, i'll let some one that knows him better to mention that. one of the original hippie surfers in this area, shapes great boards... and a silly goose. bless his soul

I had a chance to pick up one his boards in the late 80s for $100.  It was a beautiful board and I got some excellent rides from it but I was young and dumb and didn't want a old longboard from the seventies when everyone was riding tri-fin shorties.  I still kick myself for it.
