I sent you one.

RCA Service Company was sub-contracted to the Air Force through Pan Am and did a lot of tracking work. I actually lived on GBI, Grand Turk and Antigua when I was small.

My dad learned radar in the Navy where he flew on sub hunters as radar operator off small carriers.

thanks for that PM, I'll forward the info and see what I can find out. I think we may have an RCA connection in the family.... I have a bunch of those 1st day covers, too. Very neat to hear about the history of the Range Rats. What a great gig to have had..B3K

My dad was not a regular "Rat", but in the 50's he was always going down to set up photography for re-entrees. He started with RCA in 1954 and then moved to Technicolor when the contract changed. Here's some pics of the very early days at the Cape.

The original RCA photog crew, My Dad is on far right:

Occupational hazards. A "tiny" one, my Dad asked why they even bothered with it!:

My wifes Dad used to work for RCA at the Cape. His name was Robert Hines. He was down range for years, mostly as a camera man, i believe.

I probably knew your dad...I was there in the early 70's as a GI.
