probably. I've heard if you remove the dead leaf and not let it decay under the tree that it slows it down. Makes sense as I'm sure the mold/spores or whatever it is incubates in the mulch.

I was spraying mine last year with need seed oil I believe. It coats the leaves and stops the spores. Worked pretty well as long as I could keep the spraying up.

Plumerias are Caribbean and live in winter-dry climates. Winter irrigation may be bad for them. Or Florida's occasional wet winters. Check with UF and other experts. If uploading works, I have a photo of one in the wild, growing on a serpentine barren in Cuba. Not an easy habitat--the rock is high in nickel and rather poisonous to most plants. Here's a wild Plumeria growing on a serpentine barren in central Cuba. Coccothrinax palms in the rear. January, so it was dry.

Yeah the neem oil works on a lot of things quite nicely.

Wear a mask when you spray it. I use the little all in one hand pump sprayers with the brass nozzle.

Pretty sure I had some leftover lawn fungiside spray I also mixed in with the neem for good measure.

Photo doesn't work.
I have a few in pots, that are basically bare roots in a pot. Incredibly drought tolerant. The fact that they are growing in rock doesn't surprise me. |
