It will get sweeter the more yellow you allow.

once it starts turning yellow, and put your nose up to it and if starts smelling like pineapple. If rodents have access to it you may want to protect it somehow. if you squeeze it and it is soft then prob ready.

Since it is in a pot, you can move it inside a patio if you can.
The Possum/Racoon/Squirrel team is merciless when they smell the aroma of a ripening pineapple.

Slips or suckers, they are where your next pineapple fruit will come from. The main plant fruits only once.

Pups.  Looks like you have a happy plant.  Keep it safe.

Look for the tips of the skin to start to yellow. Don't let it get too yellow, it will start to rot on the stalk. Additionally water it a lot, the pineapple will get bigger.

You can also break the "pups" off and start new plants. If you get multiple pups and leave them each will have a pineapple but they will be a lot smaller. Just leave one and start new pots with the rest.
